Yep, my awesome review bout Beautiful Darkness, the second book of the Beautiful series written by Garcia&Stohl.

So what I'm gonna review about?
Well, so at the end of Beautiful Creatures, Ethan was alive but Macon was dead on the night of the Sixteenth Moon. Turned out that Lena hadn't claim herself yet cause the moon didn't appear on his birthday's night. So her eyes became both; Gold and Green; Dark and Light.
So, in Book 2, Lena was devastated after her uncle died. She kept acting crazy and became darker and darker day by day. Ethan was also afraid, he believed that Lena won't go dark, but the girl he loved kept changing and leaning to the dark side, joining Ridley and her newfound friend, John Breed. John Breed was a half Caster and a half Incubus. After he appeared, Lena was always with him and stay away from Ethan. She said that John would understand her more. This made Ethan heartbroken and worried. Lena kept slipping from his arms and went to another guy's arms. You know, I also feel angry with Lena? Why did she treat Ethan like that? Oh goshhhh
But Ethan also had a new girl beside him. His part-time work friend at the library, a training-to-be Keeper, Liv, a normal mortal girl, blond hair with blue eyes. so when Lena was away with him, he almost fell into Liv, cause she was always beside him, helping him, accompanying him. And Liv was also hoping something from Ethan. I don't really like Liv..urghhhh coz she kept clinging on Ethan and busybodying around him.
In this book. it was mostly about Ethan trying to find a way to save Lena. Lena had left to the Great Barrier with John, a place where there was no light nor darkness. But it was all a trick that Sarafine and Abraham made. Well if you don't know, they were the evils in this story. Sarafine was Lena's mom, the Dark Caster and Abraham was the Father of the Blood Incubus. So Sarafine wanted to claim the 17th Moon out of time at the Great Barrier because she wanted Lena to claim herself as dark.
Joining with Ethan his best friend, Link and Liv, the Keeper girl. Turned out that the undergrounds of Gatlin had Tunnels, tunnels that can connect people to many places and the distance and time there were different from normal. You know like you can go to Canada from Malaysia in 5 minutes. Hmmmm so...wahhh I'm so tired, why did I tell all of the storylines to you? okay, whatever.
Thus, through the Tunnels, they found a way to go save Lena.
and of course, I still love Ridley and Link character in this story. Cause Ridley was awesome. Even though she was Dark, but in midway, she helped Ethan to find Lena. She even lost her power because of that. And I was so agreed when she was angry when Ethan accidentally called Liv "L". She still loved her cuz. Meanwhile, Link was really a best friend Ethan could ever have. He joined Ethan in that dangerous journey even though his life could be altered. And of course, he still found a way to go to Rid, his love for her never faded.
And you know there are more stories to be told, but what touched me the most was when Ethan found out why Lena kept distancing herself from him. It was because she couldn't look Ethan in the eyes because he reminded her of her dead uncle, Macon. She felt guilty, and she wanted to set Ethan free because she may hurt him more. Ethan was dumbfounded, he didn't know that Lena had sacrificed that much. If not for Lena, he would already die. So with his determination, he went all out to save her from darkness and brought her back, be by her side like he always did before.
So so I wouldn't tell you the ending because it will not be fun right? Hahahah
There were many secrets been told, more characters developed, and more truth came out in the normal-looking Gatlin.
Yeah yeah it was hard to imagine the story because you know it was a supernatural story and lots of words that I didn't understand. But well I enjoyed the story, and it tested my patience so damn much when Liv and John appeared. I don't like them. Urghhh
I think the main point here in this book is the love between Casters and Mortals. Between Lena and Ethan. Between Macon and Lila Jane. They tried to find a way to be together even it was impossible. They wanted the impossible to become possible. So will their dreams come true at the end? Huhuuu.. what a sad love story.
Sooooooooo yeah yeah..I don't know if I will make it to Book 3. maybe yes maybe no. I hope this post will give you a glimpse of what I am trying to say. HAGHAGAAAHGAHA
