"Take this." I give him Dad's shirt. It's better from wearing his wet black jacket. I walk out from the room. Finally, he can stay here after I deal with my father. At first, he didn't give permission but after I lied that his parents are out of the country, well... he agreed. But with a promise that he would stay only for two days, then.. get out. Okay, deal.
The clock smiles. It's 10.10 p.m. now. I wonder what the young guy is doing right now. So I knock on his door. Moreover, I have something to ask him. Something I must know.
"Can I ask you something?" I ask him when he opens the door. He smiles and nod.
"Sure, come in."
"So... what's your name? Where do you come from? I've never saw you before. You aren't from this neighborhood, right?" Number of questions come out from my mouth. He just smiles.
"Ehmm.. my name is Jo.."
"Jo?"
"Jonathan, but you can call me Joe. I come from... the countryside."
"Where?"
"Err, you don't have to know it either. It's not important, right?"
"But why?" Why he won't tell me where did he come from..
"Don't you have anything else to ask?" he tries to run from that question. Okay....
"So.. how did you know my name?"
"What? I don't know your name.."
"Yes, you know! You called me Marya and that's my name. Don't try to lie!"
"Wait...that's your name?? I called out for my sister, Marya."
"Your sister??"
"Yes, she's overseas now. She will come back soon." My cheeks turn to red. I'm ashamed. So I just keep quiet.
"She is really like you. Your hair, your voice.. it's just same with hers. I had mistaken you for her."
Ooo... really??? Is she my doppelganger??
"You're a high-school boy, right?" Suddenly I ask him that. I don't know why.
"Yes, I'm seventeen." Hearing that, I'm glad a bit cause I've found someone whose age is like me.
"So.. we should call it a day now. Good night." I walk out and get into my room, that is opposite his. That night, I feel like something would happen to me in this coming days. Am I right or it's just my feeling?
